Company history and our values

Sicor is the leading company in the domestic market and one of the leading and most internationally known companies in the design, manufacture and marketing of head protection devices, related safety accessories and analysis instrumentation

About us

Sicor S.p.A.- Sicurezza Compagnie Riunite - was established in the 1980s through the merger of two companies La Lombarda Antinfortunistica S.p.A. and Sureco S.p.A.

The first, founded in the 1960s, was one of the largest manufacturers of Personal Protective Equipment in Italy. The main product lines included flame-resistant clothing, safety footwear, cut-resistant and heat-resistant gloves, visors, and helmets for industry and fire protection. The second, part of the Fiat Group, acquired in the 1980s, operated in the market for dielectric protection and fixed instrumentation analysis of toxic, explosive and asphyxiant gasses.

With the evolution of an increasingly specific and complex regulatory landscape, we have specialized in designing, manufacturing and marketing head protection devices, along with related safety accessories and analytical instrumentation. This specialization has propelled us to become the leading company in the domestic
market and one of the most renowned internationally.

In the 1990s, with the evolution of an increasingly specific and complex regulatory landscape, Sicor began to specialize in the design and manufacture of helmets and certified accessories to use in combination with helmets, in the design and manufacture of fixed instrumentation and in the marketing of portable toxic and explosive gas analysis instrumentation. Thanks to these, Sicor became the leading company in the national market and one of the most well-known and respected companies at an international level.
After obtaining UNI EN ISO 9001 certification in 1996, Sicor continued with the constant improvement of its quality management system and also obtained UNI EN ISO 14001 certification, a license for the manufacture, possession and sale of weapons of war pursuant to art. 28 T.U.L.P.S. (Consolidated text of public safety laws) and was given a legality rating.
Sicor's company policy is the continuous improvement of its products, adapting them to the new editions of technical reference standards and pursuing a product development policy aimed at satisfying the needs of its customers. With this in mind, it has an internal laboratory to research, develop and test materials, equipped with calibrated and certified equipment with which it carries out tests
of resistance to impact, penetration, flame and radiant heat according to European (EN) and Canadian Standards (CSA). Sicor also collaborates with the primary accredited European bodies for proof tests and type certifications.
